Abstract Seed vigour is an important aspect of seed quality. It a quantitative trait which responsible for overall performance in terms rate and uniformity germination, seedling growth, emergence ability under unfavourable environments post storage performance. controlled by genetic factors, initial quality, production environments, harvesting conditions. tests provide more sensitive index per se than the germination test. Efforts have been focused on developing novel or improving existing methods estimation different crops.
